The circled insignia may be worn now on your Service Dress, but will be mandatory 1 Jan 07...so don't' be caught out of uniform after the first of the year...the holidays are coming and 1 Jan will be upon us before you know it!

The purpose is to clear up any misconceptions of the U.S. Insignia with circle returning to our enlisted service dress uniform lapels. Return of the high gloss U.S. insigne is only for enlisted personnel. The implementation date for the circled insignia is 1 Jan 07. Enlisted personnel may start wearing the insignia before 1 Jan 07. AAFES should have in-stock and available for members purchase.
