Example SrA Below the Zone (BTZ) Nomination for 2007

Key Points to Writing
  • WRITE!!! The more you do it, the better you get.
  • Ask for HELP, the only person looking out for #1 is you.
  • The only person looking out for your subordinates is YOU!
  • Use a spell checker.  F7 works good in MS Word.
  • Use various writing resources like Merriam-Webster Online.

The following SrA Below the Zone (BTZ) example has been taken out of IMT.  If you have anything you would like to submit, please do so.  If you have found this information useful, please let me know. Everyone of these letters has taken considerable amount of time to put together.  Please treat yourself to something special from one of the ads on the page.  We will both get something out of it.  (All money gathered pays for hosting fees and domain fees.  HONESTLY, when I see money come in it also prompts me to work harder on the site.)

LEADERSHIP AND JOB PERFORMANCE IN PRIMARY DUTIES:

OTHER ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Selfless--donated 264 hrs as mgr of North Star Cafe & outreach society participant--over 1500 lives impacted
- Coordinated purchasing & building of five showers at Tok Mok orphanage--200+ children now able to bathe
- Tenaciously helped garner $19k for outreach society through expert oversight & tireless advocacy--Amazing!

Note:
Very good package. Looking between the lines on this package, the person who won this most likely competed at the wing level with all other squadrons who had less than 6 A1Cs competing for BTZ on that quarter.  Thus the pool of packages this competed against says a lot!

The almost all of the lines show how the Airman achieved leadership potential while meeting the whole person concept.  The author did a very good job having punch in each bullet. This is a very good package and is clearly understandable why the A1C won BTZ.

Comment from the submitter:  "I used your winning examples to get ideas and now have a winning package of my own.... Feel free to use it on your site."
