MEMORANDUM FOR HQ USAFA/DPAA

FROM:

SUBJECT: Protocol NCO Nomination

1.  It is my extreme pleasure to recommend <RANK> <FNAME> <LNAME> for the Protocol NCO position at the United States Air Force Academy. I can attest he has the credentials and the proven record of success required for this position. <RANK> <LNAME> has collected over 18 years of diverse and challenging experience throughout his career; combined with international exposure and his excellent presentation skills <FNAME> is ready for any situation. He is disciplined to approach any task with the innate ability to anticipate any potential obstacles and will either eliminate and mitigate them. He demonstrated this ability as coordinator for three promotion ceremonies and an Armed Forces Day observance.

<FNAME> has thrived in our international community in many different capacities. One of his most noticeable accomplishments was our inaugural “Headquarter Organization Day”. This even cause a quite a buzz with our coalition partners and their families. Our Greek 3-star commanding general was equally impressed! This was the first time most of them had ever participated in such an event and as a testament many plan to emulate similar events in their home countries. <RANK> <LNAME> planned lunch for over 600 people, organized Olympic style sporting events (including opening and closing ceremonies), and played the role of Master of Ceremonies for this daylong event.

<FNAME> is always at the forefront of community activities. He is currently president of the Parents/Teachers Organization that was immediately challenged at the beginning of the school year with the opening of a new international elementary school. <RANK> <LNAME> played a major role as facilitator between the school administration, parents, and school board facilitating a myriad of issues involve with opening school (i.e. school bus routes, curriculum, complaint procedures, etc…)

Another one of <RANK> <LNAME>’s strong points is his ability to work with people to form cohesive teams and stay cool especially when others get upset or over excited. Our joint-service Senior Noncommissioned Officers noticed this trait a recently elected him President of the Top-3 Association. Bottom-line: In closing, I am confident the Air Force Academy will be greatly impressed with <RANK> <LNAME> as their Protocol NCO. Please feel free to contact me via email: conceicaoa@jcsc.nato.int if you need additional information.
