MEMORANDUM FOR MADE A MISTAKE, AMN,
FR123-45-6789
FROM: 4 XXX/CC
SUBJECT: Letter of Reprimand - Unprofessional Conduct
1. Saturday, April 6, 2003 you were
observed giving the finger to <another officer>. Your conduct
was unprofessional and will not be tolerated.
2. United Statse Military Justice Code, Article 133, “Conduct
unbecoming an officer or
gentleman” states:
“Any commissioned officer, cadet, or
midshipman who is convicted of conduct
unbecoming an officer and a
gentleman shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”
3. You are hereby reprimanded. You have engaged in aberrant behavior which
will not be
tolerated from a member of the United States Air Force. Your past behavior has
raised serious
questions about your ability to remain in the United States Air Force. Your
unprofessional
behavior falls well below the standards of personal conduct expected of
non-commissioned
officers and thereby has brought discredit upon yourself and the United States
Air Force.
Moreover, your conduct demonstrates a severe lack of self-discipline, character,
integrity and
judgment casting serious doubt on your ability to continue performing duties in
the capacity of a
non-commissioned officer. Military custom and tradition require a high standard
of conduct of all
airmen, particularly noncommissioned officers. The seriousness of this matter,
together with the
lamentable lack of responsibility, judgment and common sense displayed on this
occasion
compel me to caution you that any recurrence can only jeopardize your career.
Your actions have
caused me to question your ability to perform as an NCO. I expect you to heed
these remarks
and act accordingly in the future. Further misconduct of this or any other
nature will not be
tolerated.
