The following Air Force Commendation Medal (AFCM) for meritorious service example has been taken from a Word Doc. If needed some location and mission information has been changed to protect myself and the people I have received the package from. If possible, a little insight will be given if it has been related. If you have anything you would like to submit, please do so. Also, if you have found this information useful, please let me know. Everyone of these items has taken considerable amount of time to put together. Please use the Amazon.com ads on this site to help support it. All money gathered pays for hosting fees and domain fees. (HONESTLY, when I see money come in it also prompts me to work harder on the site.)
Copied from MS Word:
(FIRST OAK LEAF CLUSTER) Staff Sergeant <FNAME> <MI>. <LNAME>
distinguished himself by meritorious service as an Electrical Power Production
Craftsman, 2d Civil Engineer Squadron, 2d Mission Support Group, 2d Bomb Wing,
Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. During this period, Sergeant McClain
created barrier arresting kit maintenance action sheets to expedite scheduled
inspections reduced total tasks by 20 percent. He trained 51 fire fighters on
post-arresting procedures to support quarterly AIR WARRIOR and AIR ADVERSARY
exercises, as well as the annual base open house. Additionally, Sergeant <LNAME>
used his expert technical knowledge to solve a 7-month power problem for the 43
million dollar deployable nuclear shelters located at three Air Combat Command
bases. After Hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastated the gulf coast region, he
led the installation of two prime power generators. The Federal Emergency
Management Agency was able to deliver 18 million pounds of ice and distribute 35
million gallons of water to the devastated areas along the Gulf Coast, in which
Barksdale was recognized as the number one relief hub for recovery. Furthermore,
Sergeant <LNAME> superb leadership greatly contributed to the squadron
receiving an “Excellent” facilities rating during the 2005 Air Combat Command
Nuclear Surety Inspection. The squadron also won the 2005 Air Combat Command
Outstanding Operations Flight and was selected as the Air Force runner up.
Sergeant McClain’s outstanding contributions to the mission and to the community
were recognized by his selection as 2d Civil Engineer Squadron 2005
Noncommissioned Officer of the year. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant
<LNAME> reflect credit upon himself and the United States Air Force. |
