JOB DESCRIPTION:
Transportation manager for the largest regional mail transportation network in
the Air Force, serving 405 US European Command (USEUCOM) and 170K Southwest Asia
(SWA) customers. Coordinates mail transportation policy and procedures between
USEUCOM, Military Postal Service Agency (MPSA), United States Postal Service (USPS),
Joint Military Postal Activity-Atlantic, Department of State (DoS), Army and
Navy postal agencies, Air Force postal squadrons, and Combatant Commands.
Develops and manages a $51M worldwide sea, land, and air mail transportation
network to move over 74M pounds of mail annually to 2K postal activities in 91
countries. Develops policy guidance, analyzes transportation network
effectiveness, and manages efficient movement of military mail. Determines the
most efficient and cost effective transfer/routings, recommends and implements
action. Assures regulatory compliance for 49 USAFE postal operating locations.
LEADERSHIP AND JOB PERFORMANCE IN PRIMARY DUTY:
- Squadron lead for UCI prep--tracked >2.5K items/75 checklist/9 locations;
completed in astonishing 6 weeks
- Hand-picked by USAFE/A6--augmented UCI team; inspected Moron AB postal

Note: I like the way they do the quarterly award packages with the job
description added as the lead in and the Acronym List as the closing. This is
great because it allows the panel to know what the person is suppose to be doing
and second, it allows the supervisor to modify the job description to accurately
reflect duties when it comes EPR time. |
