The following example has been taken out of a IMT so the formatting
might be off. I did not changed mission information,
only names to protect myself and the
people I have received the information from.
I will attempt to give a
little insight to the entire process if I know it.
If you have anything you would like to submit, please do so. Also, if
you have found this information useful, please let me know. Everyone of these

OVERALL EFFECTIVENESS AND JOB ACCOMPLISHMENT:
- Simply the best! Hand-picked to serve as first-ever civilian executive officer to command PA director
-- Lowest-ranking exec in the HQ, but relied upon as trusted PA liaison to 4-star, 3-star and SES staffs
-- Lauded by AFMC's 4-star exec for ensuring PA's ease and efficiency with which to do business
- A second-year intern who did more in 12 months than many civilian PAs even hope to accomplish in
five years
- Led PA's 25-person directorate toward all-electronic staff work, directorate on electronic correspondence process
that dramatically increased productivity while reducing manhours spent on some 50 PA events
-- Heart and soul of a 25-person directorate that guided 180 communication professionals at 18 field offices
- Kept 4-star up-to-date with hard-hitting daily PA report, critical to keeping senior staff in the loop
- Key member of media training "swat team" that coached AF historian and retired 3-star who compiled report on
wrongdoings at USAF Museum. This resulted in a PA victory as media soaked up the targeted messages
-- She helped steer investigative reporter away from potential national scandal story and got his Pulitzer
Prize-winning newspaper to focus on successes of the museum and AF leadership commitment to fixing problems
- Praised by President Bush for her support of his Centennial of Flight visit to Wright-Patt AFB on July 4th
-- {P NOUN} was vital in assisting White House staff in all facets of advance planning and on-site ops. Wow!
- Chosen from among hundreds to be named HQ AFMC Civilian of the Quarter. Personally praised by 4-star
LEADERSHIP/ORGINIZATIONAL AND PLANNING SKILLS:
- A future AF leader who studies AF doctrine and reads airpower history books in her spare time. Amazing!
- As a one-person tiger team, she developed an in-depth, command-wide communication plan for AFMC's
extensive transformation efforts. She crafted and coordinated a 27-page masterpiece strategy and ops plan
-- Gave leadership all the right tools and messages to inform the 80,000+ AFMC workforce, as well as the AF,
about AFMC's far-reaching transformation initiatives. Plan described as "awesome" by command officials
-- Awarded Air Force Civilian Achievement Medal, a great accomplishment for a second-year PA intern
- Single-handedly created command's first-ever pocket brochure, communicating new 4-star's vision. Result:
commander has succinct, powerful command snapshot to hand to key Air Force leaders and opinion leaders
- When new 4-star arrived, he wanted electronic daily news briefs and newspaper clips available for his review
by 0630 each day
and Ms Carter made it happen. She developed a process and trained staff on how to get it
done. Now, the 4-star receives his news on time; PA the "way ahead" on hot issues of the day
- Exceeded the norm! As office POC for AF Climate Survey, ensured AFMC/PA participation exceeded AF rate
JUDGEMENT AND DECISIONS:
- Whether it was crafting 4-star soundbites or plotting a communication strategy, her advice was sought by all
- Always there when needed! Eagerly stepped up to sponsor/mentor two civilian interns and five new lieutenants
- As a member of the Community Relations Division, her PA "sixth sense" allowed her to become a critical member
of creative team that launched AFMC's first-ever, command-wide Community Liaison Program
-- Her keen judgment helped AFMC hone in on VIP targets in Los Angeles, Boston, Atlanta, San Antonio
-- Commander now has stable of 35 well-connected, influential "ambassadors" who help spread AF story
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
- Cream of the crop! Earned honor as No. 1 DOD, AF and civilian grad in her Defense Information School class
- Sharp, crisp writing skills, analytical ability, and interpersonal skills earned her a reputation as one of the best
-- Her Sept 11 anniversary commentary touched our hearts. Piece picked up by AF papers worldwide
- Taught the HQ to communicate! Obvious choice to sit on HQ-wide panel creating new action officer guide
- Rapport with command leadership, supervisors, and co-workers and community leaders is truly outstanding
- Knows how to break down the most complex AF acquisition and logistics issues to easily understood terms
- As a second-year PA intern, she quickly learned the AFMC mission and told the airman's story with passion
- {P NOUN} is a PA star and future superstar. Gifted communicator and disciple of AF core values. Simply the best!!
General Notes:
I like the package, two spelling mistakes (in the headings, can't be too good)
and bad use of numbers. I find it strange to see a person's name through
out the package along with lots of pronouns (due to it being a civilian
package?)... Either way, good package.
